About the Role:
  • This senior position will see you playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business, providing strategic financial leadership and supporting key decision-making at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial advice and insight to the senior leadership team and the board. Contribute to the development and execution of company strategy, offering financial analysis and recommendations for key business decisions.
  2. Budgeting & Financial Planning: Take overall control of the company's accounting and budgetary processes, ensuring strong financial performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Financial Performance & Analysis: Lead efforts to optimise financial performance by managing costs, improving profitability, and advising on financial risks and opportunities.
  4. Cash & Treasury Management: Oversee cash management policy, ensuring strong cash flow, and managing relationships with banks and external financial service providers.
  5. Audit & Compliance: Take responsibility for overseeing the audit process, presenting annual accounts to auditors, and ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  6. Corporate Finance & Strategic Guidance: Provide financial input into corporate activities, including mergers and acquisitions, and evaluate key strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
  • ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Previous retail experience is essential
  • Finance Director or CFO experience is essential
  • Previous experience of managing an end-to-end finance function including technical and commercial finance.
