Job Description

**Company Overview**

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support children aged 11 – 16 within the classroom who have special educational needs (SEN).

This position is based in a large and diverse secondary school in the Middlesbrough area, which has a strong emphasis on supporting students with SEN needs and ensuring they have excellent provision in place.

Job Details

**Salary:** Up to £450 per week

This role will commence immediately and will last for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full-time role during term time, so you must be available Monday – Friday.

The ideal candidate will provide learning support on a 1:1 or small group basis, implementing personalised learning programs, monitoring student progress, and assisting teachers in an inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions
  • Must have UK school-based experience
  • Knowledge of child development and learning needs
  • Must hold a DBS on update service or be willing to apply for one
