We are seeking a Senior Internal Verifier to join our team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. As a Senior Internal Verifier, you will be responsible for undertaking verification on all types of learner portfolio work and quality assuring the quality of tutors and assessors work.

You will need to have a full Internal Verifier qualification and have relevant occupational competence and qualifications for the subject area that you wish to verify, along with experience of teaching, learning and assessment in a practical capacity and a sound knowledge of RARPA practices.

You will also need to have specific knowledge and experience of effective assessment and quality assurance practices, verification of National Occupational Standards and a good knowledge of equality & diversity and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake verification on all types of learner portfolio work
  • Quality assure the quality of tutors and assessors work
  • Provide staff training and support staff to improve their assessment practice
  • Produce detailed IQA reports to feedback to staff, with action points when needed

Essential Criteria:

  • Full Internal Verifier qualification
  • Relevant occupational competence and qualifications for the subject area
  • Experience of teaching, learning and assessment in a practical capacity
