Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in the delivery of exciting projects across various frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in one or more of the following areas: water, renewables, energy, and highways.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of civil and structural components of projects, including utility networks, buildings, and civil infrastructure.
  2. Provide design and construction documentation, conducting site surveys and inspections as required.
  3. Manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  4. Collaborate with project managers and site staff to evaluate 3rd party designs and construction methods.
  5. Develop and promote environmental best practices.
  6. Hold an accredited degree in Civil Engineering and have industry knowledge and experience.
  7. Be career-oriented with a strong career trajectory, ideally starting on a graduate scheme and showing progression within organizations.
  8. Exemplify project management skills, including organizational and diligent skills.
  9. Hold a full UK driving license for extensive travel throughout the UK.
  10. Have strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and specialist computer packages.
  11. Demonstrate good communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
