Role Overview:
Welcome to Envision Education UK's SEND Teaching Assistant position. As a vital member of our team, you will be working in a fantastic PMLD (profound and multiple learning disabilities) SEND school that caters to the educational needs of children up to KS3. The students have a range of severe learning disabilities, including those who may be on medication and most children use wheelchairs.

The ideal candidate should be confident and strong in supporting children with complex needs and assist them with their learning, development, and personal growth. With a strong background in working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or having experience as a care support worker/support worker with young adults who can support pupils who are non-verbal, you will make a valuable addition to our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children with complex & severe needs
  • Contributing to creating a safe, supportive & engaging learning environment
  • Building a close bond with the child to ensure they feel comfortable both inside & outside the classroom
  • Communicating closely with colleagues to ensure the progress of students is prioritized
  • Working 1:1 with the child to ensure they achieve their developmental milestones

Requirements:
  • Available to start immediately, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm
  • Willingness to support SEND children with complex needs
  • Mandatory requirement: hold a CHILD ONLY DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Previous experience working with children, providing a reference
  • Confidence and strength as a Teaching Assistant due to the children's PMLD
  • Local residence to Hillingdon or within commuting distance

Compensation:

Estimated Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum
