Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Operations Team at Carbon60. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on electrical and instrumentation systems, including low-voltage electrical systems and verification/calibration of pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation.
  • Carry out alarm, trip, and interlock routines on systems, and perform breakdown and repair work in line with electrical, control, and instrumentation standards.
  • Support project work, including minor electrical installations and PPMs, and install equipment on-site.
  • Maintain and publish plant quality records and reports, and implement safe systems of work, including production of permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Support out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites through on-call rota cover.
Requirements
  • A proven engineering background within the electrical and/or instrumentation industry, with a recognized time-served apprenticeship.
  • Experience with industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, including fault finding and maintenance.
  • Ability to assist with mechanical maintenance support and possess a full clean driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of calibrating industrial process instrumentation.
  • Experience of carrying out alarm, trip, and interlock testing on systems.
  • Knowledge of SCADA (BMS/PMS) and PLC systems, as well as fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of water treatment plant and equipment.
  • Qualifications in areas such as IOSH/CSCS Safety, Confined Space, BOAS, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF/PASMA.
