About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team at AB Agri. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews of our financial processes and systems to ensure compliance with our financial control framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform audit reviews based on a programme of visits agreed with the Internal Audit Manager, the AB Agri CFO and ABF Director of Financial Control.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures and controls, ensuring compliance with the financial control framework.
- Present audit findings and make recommendations to management.
- Prepare and issue audit reports on a timely basis with all recommendations agreed and accepted by the audited business.
- Monitor management's implementation of audit recommendations and issue appropriate follow up reports.
- Ensure external audit management letter points are resolved and self-assessment management action plans are implemented in a timely manner.
- Perform ad-hoc project work as directed by the Internal Audit Manager, AB Agri CFO and the ABF Director of Financial Control
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with previous experience of internal or external audit, risk and controls within a large corporate environment
- Comprehensive organisational skill and project management
- Previous experience of working within the Big 4/Top 10 is necessary
- Knowledge and experience of auditing financial control
- Genuine desire to learn new things, broaden knowledge base and make a real difference
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships across a wide group of stakeholders, with varying positions
- Full driving license and confident in driving to rural sites across the UK
