Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team at Etive House Care Home. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the building and equipment are maintained to a high standard, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of control panels, electrical wiring, and other systems to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
  • Install and maintain appliances and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Perform yard upkeep, including lawn mowing, trash collection, and other tasks as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning, and storing equipment.
  • Inspect and repair damages to building surfaces, ensuring they are safe and secure.
  • Participate in projects, such as renovations, to improve the overall condition of the building.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the facilities or maintenance manager.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
