Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team at Etive House Care Home. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the building and equipment are maintained to a high standard, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of control panels, electrical wiring, and other systems to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
- Install and maintain appliances and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.
- Perform yard upkeep, including lawn mowing, trash collection, and other tasks as needed.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning, and storing equipment.
- Inspect and repair damages to building surfaces, ensuring they are safe and secure.
- Participate in projects, such as renovations, to improve the overall condition of the building.
- Report any issues or concerns to the facilities or maintenance manager.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
