Youth Development Specialist

Challengers is a voluntary sector organisation providing play and leisure services to disabled children and young people. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team of staff in delivering high-quality services that promote positive play, youth and leisure experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of staff in the delivery of play and leisure services
• Supervise on-the-day care of children and young people, including administration of medication
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with families, schools, local authority departments and other organisations
• Contribute to the development of Challengers schemes and systems
Requirements:
• Experience leading and motivating a team
• Experience working with disabled children and young people, providing care and leisure services
• Skills in administration, communication and problem-solving
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure
• A sense of joy and enthusiasm for working with children and young people
About Us:
Challengers is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Salary: £15.44 per hour, 8 hours per week in term time, plus admin hours.
