Young People's Development Manager

We are seeking a Young People's Development Manager to join our team in Taunton. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of £31,971 - £36,195 per annum, including a sleep allowance. Your key responsibilities will include leading by example, supporting the management team, and mentoring newer staff members. You will also be responsible for encouraging young people to engage in activities, take responsibility for their lives, and deal with challenging behaviours when necessary. Additionally, you will protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare, provide support for their independence and well-being, and maintain a safe environment. To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience as a Children's Support Worker or in another healthcare or social care setting. A Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is essential.
