About the Role

nineDots is excited to partner with Cloudsmith to enhance their performance testing capabilities. Cloudsmith is experiencing remarkable growth, and we're thrilled to be a part of their journey.

As a Performance Optimization Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in strengthening our capacity to identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks. You'll apply your expertise in black box testing and load testing to ensure our systems are robust and scalable to meet future demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage APM tools to monitor real-time system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system enhancements, focusing on improving performance and reducing latency.
  • Lead efforts in capacity planning to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future operational demands efficiently.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to align performance goals with business objectives and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in performance testing and optimization, particularly within cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with APM tools, DataDog preferably.
  • Experience with Python and Locust for load testing.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on findings and recommendations.
What We Offer

You'll have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere on the island of Ireland, with in-person meetings from time to time in Belfast. Our technology stack includes Python, Django, ECS, Postgres, Kinesis, Cloudfront, Flink, Elastic Search, Lambda, Amazonmq, Terraform, and Postgres. Tooling includes Datadog, Linear, Slack, Notion, and CircleCI.
