We are seeking a talented Financial Accounting Specialist to join our Financial Control team in either Chatham or Wolverhampton office. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting figures across the Group.

The main purpose of the team is to provide timely and high-quality financial information to support business decisions. This includes performing month-end reconciliations, managing unreconciled differences, and preparing monthly accounting journals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Month-end Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of the Group's Balance Sheet accounts using Blackline, ensuring excellent quality substantiation and timely resolution of issues.
  • Securitisation Accounting: Assist with preparation of monthly Securitisation accounting for OSB's Canterbury/CCFS structured entities, performing accrual and prepayment journals, and reconciling SPV external bank accounts.
  • Sun Supplier Module: Authorise set-up of supplier payment details within Sun, ensuring sufficient evidence is supplied to support bank details approved.
  • Accounting Journals: Process accounting journals with speed and accuracy, paying particular attention to maintaining sufficient supporting evidence.

Requirements include:

  • Previous Finance Experience: Previous work experience in a challenging finance department is essential.
  • General Ledger Knowledge: Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting systems is required.
  • Accounting Qualifications: Qualifications in accounting (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) are essential.
