Job Title: Court of Protection Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Court of Protection Advisor to join our Private Client team at IDEX Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to our clients who lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Court of Protection deputyship support to ensure the well-being and financial security of our clients.
  • Managing the affairs of individuals under registered Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPAs) and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
  • Preparing and submitting non-contentious Court of Protection applications to ensure our clients' needs are met.
  • Drafting statutory wills and codicils to ensure our clients' wishes are respected.
  • Providing expert advice on care fee planning to help our clients make informed decisions.
  • Assessing and advising on any Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits that may be applicable to our clients.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be commercially focused, yet passionate about working with individuals who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our clients and their families.
