Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Intervention Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an Intervention Tutor, you will work directly with children and young people to support their academic development and help them meet their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative sessions to support children's learning in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies and coping mechanisms to support children with behaviour needs.
  • Work with children and young people in a variety of settings, including residential homes and schools, to provide one-to-one support and small group tuition.
  • Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package for each child.
  • Monitor and track children's progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with behaviour needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and coping mechanism skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and informative sessions.
  • Knowledge of core subjects, including Maths, English, and Science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
