About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Active Care Group, specializing in neurorehabilitation. As a key member of our therapy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke, and spinal cord injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-led therapy programs for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, adhering to national guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and mentoring of Speech and Language Therapy assistants and students.
  • Engage in internal training and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure patient safety and protect their human rights.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience in a neurorehabilitation setting.
  • Expertise in working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia.
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework.
  • Ability to motivate patients over extended periods.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
