About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthetic services to our patients, working closely with a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic services to patients in a variety of settings, including theatres and emergency departments.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement anaesthetic services to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Supervise and mentor junior anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register for Anaesthesia or within 6 months of completion of training.
  • 6 months advanced obstetric training to RCoA standards or equivalent.
  • A wide experience and training in Anaesthesia and Critical Care to Consultant level.
  • Experience of teaching Foundation Year and Specialty Trainees to standards required by the RCoA.
