Job Title: Production Chemist

Quantum Science Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist to join our team in the development and production of advanced nanomaterials.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field to lead the development and manufacturing of colloidal quantum dots and other advanced nanomaterials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and develop safe and cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots, scaling up from lab to full-scale commercial process.
  • Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues based on safety protocols and environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess equipment and facilities during the scale-up process, including maintenance schedules and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Work closely with R&D and scale-up team members for tech transfer from R&D to pilot plan and/or full-scale manufacturing.
  • Carry out the continual optimization and development of existing and new product lines to ensure their best quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide and document all SOPs for manufacturing processes and testing techniques for existing and new products.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or MSc degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or a related field.
  • Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization is advantageous.
  • Industrial experience in multi-stage process development, setting up reactors and manufacturing lines, and scaling up products is beneficial.
  • Confident with a practical hands-on approach in the lab and excellent self-starter as well as dedicated team member.
