Job Title: Production Chemist

Quantum Science Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist to join our team in Daresbury, Warrington. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safe and cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots and other advanced nanomaterials.

About the Role

As a Production Chemist, you will work closely with our R&D and scale-up team members to transfer technology from the lab to pilot and full-scale manufacturing. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and developing manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots and other nanomaterials
  • Providing technical solutions and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
  • Assessing equipment and facilities during the scale-up process
  • Working with the R&D team to optimize and develop new product lines
  • Providing written reports and documenting manufacturing processes and testing techniques

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor or MSc degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or similar discipline
  • Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization
  • Industrial experience in multi-stage process development and scaling up products
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team
