About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to lead our Dams and Reservoirs engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our water infrastructure projects and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to relevant design standards and codes.
  • Define project briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals, driving business growth and development.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design, ensuring excellence and consistency across projects.
  • Grow, develop, and manage dams and reservoirs engineering capability within the practice, driving business growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong background in dams and reservoirs engineering.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design, with a focus on hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering.
  • Knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance, and working practices, including the Reservoirs Act.
