About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our small, friendly Psychology team. We are committed to trauma-informed care and practice from a range of models, including psychodynamic, schema-informed therapy, CBT, and DBT. Our team has close links with local Clinical Psychology Doctoral courses and offers Adult and specialist placements to trainee Clinical Psychologists.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessment and interventions to clients with complex mental health presentations.
- Offer consultation and advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.
- Supervise trainees, assistant psychologists, and other qualified psychological practitioners as agreed.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, counselling, or health psychology.
- HCPC registration (Band 8a).
- BABCP/UKCP or other relevant registration professional body (Band 8a).
- Additional psychotherapy qualification/training relevant to working with complex presentations in one or more psychological therapies.
- Supervision training (Band 8a).
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care.
