We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist to work within Cheshire Children and Young Peoples Intensive Support Function (CYP-ISF). The CYP-ISF is an enhanced function that supports the work of our core CAMHS teams.

Are you interested in working with CYP with mental health difficulties and/or Intellectual Disabilities and Autism? Do you have the passion and drive to begin your career in an Intensive Support Function that will support these young people to improve their daily functioning. We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, compassion, and optimism for CYP to live good quality lives in their own communities.

The post holder will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits and outcome measures, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

The post holder will be working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who present with behaviours that challenge and mental health challenges. You will be working as part of the Intensive Support Team, and will undertake focused work with the aim of preventing a person going into crisis and being admitted to hospital or their current placement breaking down.

The post holder will offer advice and support to families of children with learning disabilities and/or autism and work alongside all partner agencies, this may be within a variety of settings and may require the post holder to travel.

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Working intensively with children and young people, their families and the network around the family to help reduce the risk of inappropriate hospital admission and out of area placements.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
