This new role will enable Irish Community Care Manchester to extend its community engagement offer in providing social activities within lunch groups and other community activities targeted at the older Irish community. The goal is to reduce social isolation, improve health, and promote well-being.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Enhance our existing lunch club provision to ensure greater connection with the Irish community and raise awareness of support available to older Irish people in Manchester.
  • Raise our profile and develop relationships with established events across Manchester.
  • Expand engagement through outreach with other community groups.
  • Monitor and identify the current and changing needs of the older Irish community to ensure ICCM's programs support those needs.
  • Monitor and report on outcomes and impact of activities.
  • Promote Irish culture through partnerships and co-production with arts practitioners and community organizations serving older communities.
  • Promote the wider work of ICCM, facilitating pathways to support where needed.
  • Maintain best practice in safeguarding.
  • Commit to continuous professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in the sector.
  • Attend relevant conferences and seminars locally, regionally, and nationally as directed by the line manager.
  • Participate in supervision and appraisal provided by the manager.
  • Work as an accountable member of the staff team, adhering to the charity's policies and procedures.
  • Be flexible and adapt to unpredictable and varied tasks and responsibilities.
  • Embody ICCM's values in all work.
