Company Overview: Our client, a leading Local Authority in Central London, is seeking an experienced Building Health and Safety Manager to lead compliance and safety efforts for high-risk residential buildings. This pivotal role supports the Principal Building Safety Manager in ensuring adherence to the Building Safety Act 2022 and fostering a strong culture of building safety across the organization.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

Job Description:

  1. Compliance and Safety Leadership: Prepare and submit Building Assessment Certificate (BAC) applications for high-risk buildings, act as primary liaison with the Building Safety Regulator, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance.
  2. Safety Oversight: Work closely with the Fire Safety Team to maintain safety across all high-risk buildings and support the Development Team in maintaining the Golden Thread of Information for new high-risk buildings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; experience in residential building management, operations, and construction projects; proven track record in delivering customer satisfaction in a local government setting.

Benefits: Hybrid working, contract initially for 3 months, based in Central London.
