About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the BT Group as a Technical Delivery Specialist, where you will play a key role in the delivery of end-to-end small-scale projects and programs. As a member of our integrated team, you will contribute to commercial benefit, deliver on time, within budget, and to agreed quality criteria from conception through to market launch and transition into operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Work with our team to deliver small-scale projects and programs, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Complex Project Support: Support complex and large-scale projects with regional impact, coordinating through delivery of execution, analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify project risks, dependencies, and project changes, ensuring timely intervention and communication to stakeholders.
  • Project Planning and Tracking: Develop, document, and implement projects and change initiatives in line with BT Group policies and strategies, defining and maintaining realistic project plans and tracking project finances and progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Reporting and Decision Making: Provide timely reporting on project performance and support decision making with all necessary information.
  • Process Improvement: Review, suggest, and execute process improvements and efficiencies with the engagement and delivery models.
  • Project Definition and Execution: Support the definition, documentation, and execution of small projects or sub-projects, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement, and communications plans, and quality and performance criteria with project partners.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and manage risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns.
  • Commercial Obligations: Ensure project delivery activity complies with commercial obligations, risks, and interdependencies defined within external delivery contracts.

Experience
  • Intense Focus and Pressure: Worked through periods of intense focus and pressure.

  • Strong Relationships: Developed a network of strong working relationships.
  • Office Politics: Handled office politics and disagreements while maintaining personal integrity.

  • Process and Political Obstacles: Tackled process and political obstacles to delivery.
  • Project Methodology: Experienced using and preferably accredited in a Project Methodology (Agile/Prince/APM etc).
  • Matrixed Teams: Worked across matrixed teams.
  • Business Operations: Had some knowledge and experience of business operations, business strategy, financial and operational strategic analysis.
  • BT Products Portfolio: Had knowledge and/or experience of BT Products Portfolio and BT's Concept to Market Processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated continuous improvement and business improvement experience.
