Join NHS and be part of a team that is shaping the future of healthcare. As an Associate Director, Data Governance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and high-quality delivery of maternity services within the system.

About the Role

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role is ideal for a registered midwife with a master's degree or equivalent experience, holding current NMC registration without sanction. The successful candidate will have advanced theoretical knowledge of midwifery, leadership qualification, and experience of working in a system-wide role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a good knowledge of emerging policies from government departments to assist in strategic thinking and discussions.
  • Undertake annual mandated assurance visits with local maternity providers within the system, developing and monitoring emerging action plans.
  • Chair the Quarterly Maternity Perinatal Performance Oversight Panel (MPPOP) and provide assurance of progress towards compliance of the Maternity & Neonatal 3 Year Plan.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have experience of holding services to account through Appreciative Enquiry, leading a maternity service for a significant period, and understanding the background to and aims of current national maternity drivers. They should also have knowledge of change management and service re-design, being a budget holder, and having a good understanding of complex health systems.
