Job Summary

We are looking for a consultant with expertise in neurophysiology to work with our clinical physiologists to develop the service in a multidisciplinary fashion. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of a forward-thinking and ambitious department, providing the best care possible to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work constructively with clinical physiologists to develop the service in a multidisciplinary fashion.
  • Contribute to the development of a Neurophysiology Service that is fit for purpose and sustainable in the new NHS environment.
  • Take an active and enthusiastic part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.
  • Supervise and assess senior physiologists to enable them to achieve competence in complex nerve conduction studies and EMG.
Person Specification

We are looking for a consultant with the following essential qualifications and experience:

  • Successfully completed an ATLS and APLS provider course.
  • Level 3 child protection training.
  • Registered with the General Medical Council and hold a current Licence to Practice.
  • Demonstrate evidence of good general training and specialty training in neurophysiology.
Practical Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to have a full UK driving licence and be able to work hours of the job, shifts, and on-call with any reasonable adjustments to take into account local requirements or disability.
