Role Description

Reader Volunteer

Location: Aldershot (Hampshire)

Time Commitment: Flexible

We are seeking a volunteer to form a meaningful connection with someone we support in one of our homes in Aldershot (Hampshire). The volunteer will engage in conversation, read the newspaper aloud, and provide companionship by visiting them in their home.

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • To be empathetic, kind, and friendly
  • To have a good sense of humour and enjoy engaging in conversation
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • A keen interest in reading and books
  • To be able to handle confidential information in line with our data protection procedures
