Actuarial Associate

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Associate to join our Finance & Underwriting team at Unum UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects and providing expert actuarial analysis to drive business insights and decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your actuarial career while rotating through key functions, including Reporting, Actuarial Risk & Capital, Systems, and Pricing.

• You will work closely with senior management, leading projects and providing expert actuarial analysis to drive business insights and decision-making.
• You will start in Reporting, analysing, interpreting, and reporting on financial and actuarial data.
• You will own actuarial tasks, understand the broader business implications and provide actuarial and senior management with comprehensive insight into those tasks and their outcomes.
• You will communicate technical actuarial topics to a wide range of audiences, influencing cross-functional decision-making.
• You will identify and implement improvements to streamline actuarial processes.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2-3 years' actuarial experience and 6 actuarial exam passes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office (R and VBA desirable).
• Open to candidates from various actuarial backgrounds, including General Insurance and Pensions.
