About the Role

The role of Financial Planning Assistant at Evelyn Partners is designed to support our Financial Planners in delivering high-quality advice to clients. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that suitability reports are prepared accurately and that client records are up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare suitability reports across a range of advice types, financial products, and investment solutions.
  • Carry out technical research as required.
  • Ensure client records contain sufficient Know Your Client information to demonstrate suitability of our advice.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planners to deliver a positive client experience.
  • Attend client meetings to support the Financial Planner in delivering cashflow modelling, as required.

Requirements

  • Must be Level 4 qualified – CII, Diploma in Financial Planning/Regulated Financial Planning is required.
  • Level 6/ AF7/ Chartered status would be an advantage.
  • Very strong understanding of financial planning principles.
  • Demonstrable experience of paraplanning gained with a proven solid technical knowledge and track record of delivering written financial advice.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in writing and face-to-face.
  • Very strong understanding of the FCA's COBS requirements for suitability.
  • Good stakeholder management with positive influencing skills.
