About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planning Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Client Relationship Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our team to achieve business objectives and drive growth.

Responsibilities
  • Support Private Client Directors in achieving financial, strategic, and conduct objectives by maintaining existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with the marketing department to develop referral leads.
  • Maintain personal and company regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Support team members in managing clients by assisting with proposal writing, portfolio analysis, ongoing suitability requirements, and other tasks such as fact finding.
  • Engage with clients to understand their financial needs, risk tolerance, personal circumstances, and current investments to propose suitable solutions and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through regular reviews, providing ongoing support and administration, and regularly reviewing clients' circumstances to ensure suitability is maintained.
  • Adhere to Private Client processes and procedures at all times, representing 7IM both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Hold a high degree of private client wealth and investment management knowledge, including portfolio construction, financial planning, asset allocation, UK and overseas investment markets, performance measurement, and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, identifying appropriate targets and profiling prospects for 7IM.
  • Have a strong awareness of financial markets and the UK wealth management landscape.
  • Be commercially astute, disciplined, ambitious, and confident in developing your own book.
  • Possess a positive 'can-do attitude' and ensure adherence to 7IM's VPVPs at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a CF30 under the Approved Persons regime or be a Certified individual under SMCR regime.
  • Hold a financial planning level 4 certificate and working towards level 6.
  • Be articulate, project assertiveness, clarity, integrity, and gravitas in personal communication.
  • Be willing to travel throughout the UK as required to meet with prospective and existing clients.
Location and Salary

This role will be based in Edinburgh or London, with occasional travel to other 7IM offices. We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
