Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our medium landing gear quality team. As a key member of our team, you will support the manufacture and inspection processes, ensuring the robustness of our product processes and delivering high-quality products. Your expertise will be essential in resolving quality issues, coaching and developing team members, and driving continual product improvement throughout the manufacturing life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on expertise in resolving quality issues
  • Coach and develop team members in technical and quality issues
  • Take an instrumental role in developing continual product improvement
  • Act as a key interface with other internal and external disciplines
  • Evaluate and process non-conformities
  • Offer expert advice, information, and support to Design Engineering and other internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Be actively involved in improvement activities
  • Provide input regarding manufacturing quality and technical issues to Manufacturing Engineering strategy
  • Raise and authorise extra work on layouts, SAP, and MES

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles, including methods, processes, production control, plant, and tooling based on a lean enterprise approach
  • Product knowledge expertise
  • Able to gain knowledge of Aerospace Quality system to sufficient level to enable holding of QT stamp
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of First Article Procedure DVI, PPAP, APQI
  • Behavioural competencies required: target achievement, personal drive, analytical thinking, performance improvement, adaptability, working effectively with others, influencing, interpersonal sensitivity, focus on compliance
