Clinical Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Adult Educator to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Learning Disability Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and guidance to our staff and health professionals who support people with learning disabilities.
The successful candidate will have a range of experience working with people with learning disabilities and will be able to upskill the workforce in developing their skills, knowledge, and confidence in supporting people with learning disabilities across both community and acute settings.
You will be required to have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and guidance. You will work closely with our Community Learning Disability Team and Learning Disability Acute Liaison Nurses to develop and deliver innovative education and training packages that meet the needs of our staff and patients.
Main Responsibilities:- Map education provision across the service and identify learning needs and opportunities.
- Develop and deliver ongoing education and training packages to raise awareness and improve skills in supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Evaluate the impact of education on staff knowledge, skills, and behaviours as well as patient care.
- Act as a clinical and professional role model to maintain and develop exceptional standards of care.
- Promote and foster a culture of education and clinical development within the workforce.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty or equivalent experience.
- Professional registration with the NMC.
- Degree-level knowledge or equivalent level of knowledge and/or experience, supplemented by specialist knowledge relevant to the role to master's level or equivalent experience.
- Registered mentor.
- Qualification in teaching, learning, and assessing in clinical practice and significant experience of delivering training and education in the clinical setting.
- IT skills to produce educational resources, reports, and data.
We offer a competitive salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata, and a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
