About the RoleThe successful candidate will support the delivery of the Retail Future Talent strategy, including apprenticeship upskilling, work experience, internships, and graduates. They will also contribute to the development of a strategic, innovative, and effective Retail People Development strategy that identifies and implements key solutions to develop critical talent required today and in the future.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of Retail's approach to future talent, including internal and external apprenticeships, placements, work experience, graduate programmes, and People Development
- Contribute to the development of a strategic, innovative, and effective Retail People Development strategy
- Effectively manage the administrative activities within the Retail People Development Team to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness of team delivery
- Manage bookings, attendance, and evaluation data and be able to present and report on these on a regular basis
- Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to ensure the effective application of future talent solutions across Retail
- Gather insight and feedback to identify improvements that can be made to future talent solutions
- CIPD – Learning and Development (Diploma) - desirable
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, internally and at external meetings with suppliers, awarding bodies, and professional entities
- Proven ability to project plan and to be able to react flexibly when priorities change, with the ability to innovate and be an agent of change
- Proven ability to evaluate individual and group understanding and provide individually tailored solutions based on training needs analysis, effectively balancing customer and business requirements and outcomes
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and networks, and collaborate externally and internally
