Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Location: South Gloucestershire

About the Role:

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual to work as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with young people and a degree or equivalent qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work pre-set in accordance with the school's guidelines and ensure it is completed to the best of the students' abilities.
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils and maintain a constructive and positive environment.
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
  • Collect work at the end of the lesson and return it to the appropriate recipient.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
