Transform Lives as a Clinical Lead Nurse Manager

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Lead Nurse Manager to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health in Schools Support Teams (MHST), you will play a vital role in delivering high-intensity cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) interventions to children, young people, and their families.

This exciting new opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people in their community. You will be working primarily in educational settings for children aged 5-18 years old, enhancing access to mental health care for those who need it.

  1. Develop and deliver high-intensity CBT evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and their families in educational settings.
  2. Provide CYPIAPT model supervision to High Intensity CBT clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for candidates with the following experience, skills, and qualities:

  1. Holding a recognised qualification in High Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and being professionally registered.
  2. Previous experience in offering supervision, with a willingness to complete the CYP-IAPT supervision course if not already done so.
  3. Commitment to anti-oppressive practice and addressing health inequalities to improve access to mental health input for young people and families.
  4. Experience working with children in educational settings.
  5. Ability to offer professional consultations to parents/carers and professionals involved in the child/young person's life.
  6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to network with other key agencies.
  7. Pasisonate about participation and including young people and families in all aspects of our design and delivery.
Essential Criteria
  • A professional mental health qualification and registration.
  • Trauma Informed Practice/Training.
  • Post Graduate clinical supervision CYP IAPT training/qualification.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Providing CYPIAPT Supervision.
  • Working within an educational setting supporting mental health provision.
Competencies and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with children/young people of all ages experiencing a wide range of mental health presentations.
  • Ability to assess and develop plans to manage risk.
  • Ability to work flexibly and remotely.

We are committed to paying our employees a competitive salary, which for this position is approximately £45,739 - £54,109 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
