About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a part-time Nuclear and Clean Energy Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading a wide range of new build nuclear projects, including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, SMRs, and future fusion technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with clients and colleagues
  • Designing and analyzing new building structures, and taking responsibility for project ownership
  • Working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, power, or rail
  • Writing bids and tenders to win work
  • Managing, leading, and mentoring staff
  • Collaborating with clients and colleagues to understand their needs and deliver projects to time, cost, and quality

Requirements

  • Relevant level of professional experience in civil-structural design and analysis, research and development, project engineering, or design consultancy
  • Co-ordination across multidisciplinary projects
  • Leading, undertaking, and reviewing design of new building structures, and taking responsibility for project ownership
  • Working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, power, or rail
  • Experienced in writing bids and tenders to win work
  • Thrives on managing, leading, and mentoring staff
  • Able to work collaboratively from our offices and across our client sites to understand clients' needs and deliver to time, cost, and quality
