We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our East & Mid Devon Home Treatment Team based at Wonford House.

The primary goal of the team is to provide high-quality home treatment, minimizing hospital admissions whenever possible. If admission is necessary, we work closely with clients to facilitate early discharge.

Main Responsibilities

You will become a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating to create personalized care plans that promote recovery-focused care for individuals with complex mental health needs. You will possess the confidence to devise individualized recovery plans for your clients without supervision. Effective communication skills are essential, enabling you to engage with colleagues, clients, their families, and carers.

Requirements
  • Extensive post-registration experience working at Band 5 in inpatient and/or community settings within mental health and/or learning disabilities settings.
  • Significant experience managing a busy caseload of clients with diverse mental health conditions in a community setting, often without supervision.
  • Previous experience working in a community mental health setting, either in the statutory or voluntary sector.
  • Clinical supervisory experience of junior and unqualified staff, as well as mentoring students.
  • Evidence of successfully completing specific projects or tasks delegated by ward managers or others.
