Job Description

This Estate Planning Team is seeking a skilled Probate Case Manager to join their expanding team.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of probate casework experience, with expertise in managing a case load of 60+.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for taking over existing cases, providing continuity, and ensuring accurate record-keeping within the accounting software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately recording all time spent on cases within our accounting system, reporting any 'write offs' accurately.
  • Keeping clients informed (minimum every 4 weeks) of progression on matters.
  • Uploading correspondence to case management systems as required.
  • Writing to all asset and liability organisations in a timely manner.
  • Loading communication to case management systems.
  • Ensuring all case management systems are updated for audit purposes.
  • Adhering to the Billing Policy and raising invoices for matters in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining accounting software in preparation for audits.
  • Taking calls in bound for the probate department and acting accordingly.
  • Conducting research on cases and legal information.
  • Verifying documents comply with Legal standards.
  • Managing a caseload autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Opening and running checks on files, supporting clients through transactions and dealing with post-completion matters.
  • Communicating efficiently with external agencies.
  • Following up outdated invoices for client balances.
  • Preparing and modifying documents as advised by your manager.

Salary: £25k-£30k DOE (dependent on experience). The role offers remote working and a start date of March 2025.
