Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Band 8B

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other approaches as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that address patients' physical and emotional needs.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members, including psychologists and other mental health professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in mental health care.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working with patients with complex mental health needs, including those with trauma, psychosis, and other severe and enduring mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
