Personal Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support an elderly individual with long-term effects of a stroke, vascular dementia, and a brain tumour. The successful candidate will provide physical and emotional support, enabling the individual to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily living tasks, including cooking, meal preparation, and eating meals/drinks.
- Encourage socialization and participation in activities, promoting a sense of community and connection.
- Develop a trusting and supportive relationship with the individual, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
- Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with a strong sense of punctuality and responsibility.
- Have good listening skills and be able to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
- Be empathetic and understanding, with a willingness to adapt to the individual's changing needs.
- Previous caring experience is not essential, but a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities/illnesses is required.
- Car driver preferred, but not essential.
- Knowledge of stroke and aspects of vascular dementia is desirable.
