About the Role
:Oxa Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Autonomous Vehicle Commissioning Team Lead to join our team. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and leading an autonomous vehicle commissioning team to support the rapid growth in customer deployments globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Commissioning Phase: Oversee the commissioning phase of vehicle delivery to ensure that vehicles are rigorously commissioned and ready for internal and external customers.
- Ensure Reporting and Communication: Maintain up-to-date reporting and communication on the status of vehicle commissioning to stakeholders.
- Organize Logistics and Resources: Plan and coordinate the global logistics of vehicle commissioning and resources to support that, including hiring and contracting where required.
- Drive Process Improvement: Continuously improve the commissioning process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Reference Platform team to understand and carry out hardware and network configuration, and with the Fleet Readiness team to use and provide feedback on their commissioning and calibration tools.
- Ensure Vehicle Readiness: Collaborate with the Fleet and Solutions teams to ensure vehicles are fit for customer operations.
- Lead Team Members: Engage with team members and colleagues throughout the business to create an environment that supports collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Contribute to Hiring and Onboarding: Define role responsibilities and requirements, lead interviews, engage in recruiting outreach for your team, and mentor and develop new team members.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience in industry or academia.
- Operational Deployment: Experience in operational deployment of robots.
- Flexibility and Agility: Flexibility and agility in delivering against customer needs, including working at customer sites outside of the UK.
- Project Leadership: Proven record of leading and delivering projects as part of a team.
- Technical Communication: Effective technical communication and leadership skills.
- Robotics and AI: An appreciation of robotics and generative AI.
Desirable Skills
- Autonomous Vehicle Commissioning: Experience leading autonomous vehicle commissioning teams.
- Global Outsourcing: Organized outsourcing capabilities globally (US and Japan in particular).
- Calibration Tooling: Built calibration tooling.
