About the Opportunity

The HVAC / Piping category at Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled Area Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of design services for various projects across the Sellafield site. As a key member of the category team, you will be responsible for coordinating delivery across disciplines and ensuring the successful management of the interface between the client team and the integrated delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement project execution strategies that meet the needs of the category and align with the company's goals.
  2. Lead the development of engineering elements of project/task baseline scope, schedule, and budget.
  3. Assess new items on the worklist and define the scope of work required.
  4. Ensure work portfolio is delivered and controlled efficiently and effectively to meet agreed specification, cost, and schedule.
  5. Report status and performance of work accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Lead the production of design Quality Plans.
  7. Coordinate LFE across the category.
  8. Interface with design teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Proficient understanding of Project System Engineering Delivery.
  2. Requirements derivation and validation through stakeholder engagement.
  3. Strong leadership behaviors to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills in the successful management of the interface between the client team and the integrated delivery team.
  5. Demonstrable experience of delivering early phase scoping activities and project initiation for multi-discipline asset care projects.
  6. Developing 'fit for purpose' project execution strategies for a portfolio of asset care type work.
  7. Provide evidence to underpin a SQEP assessment against SR0629.
