Risk Management Specialist

Job Summary
This role is open to Jersey residents only, as no relocation is provided for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control risk exposure with a specific focus on operational and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risks.
- Provide risk-related advice, support, and guidance as required by the business units.
- Conduct ongoing and retrospective monitoring of all AML-related matters and related risks within the business.
- Provide first-line risk-related advice and assurance to stakeholders from all Business Units and corporate functions across Standard Bank Offshore.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Risk Management.
- Significant experience in risk, governance, and compliance management in the financial services industry.
- Previous financial services experience, preferably in a Risk, AML, or Compliance-related role.
- Strong understanding of risk management and operational risk matters.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to review and analyze information to make risk-based decisions.
Key Outputs
- Undertake Jersey client reviews for all risk categories.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of client transactions and source of funds.
- Conduct retrospective monitoring of all AML-related matters.
