Job Title: Senior Building Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Cost Manager to join our team at Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of construction projects, from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage costs and budgets of construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance works
  • Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
  • Deliver high-quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet customers' requirements
  • Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures
  • Cost planning and settlement of final accounts
  • Provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent
  • Mentor and coach employees to their full potential
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across Business Units' activities
  • Advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects
Requirements:
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning
  • Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
  • Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts
