Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the transportation of goods efficiently
- Develop and implement transport strategies to meet company objectives
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day transportation activities
- Manage a fleet of 25 vehicles and 35 drivers
- Monitor transport costs and performance to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all transport activities
- Manage a team of drivers and logistics staff effectively
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Utilize computer systems to track shipments and communicate with stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Strong supply chain management skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Effective leadership capabilities to lead a team
- Computer literacy, particularly in Outlook, Word, and IT systems
- Drive to achieve targets and improve processes
- Proficient in logistics operations and management
Desirable Qualifications:
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
