M&D Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Challenging Behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate interventions for individuals presenting with Challenging Behaviours.
- Develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support training to staff and individuals.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation and support to 'challenging behaviour' services.
- Reduce the use of restrictive practices and promote person-centered approaches.
- Contribute to the development of outcome-based service delivery and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in person-centered review processes and utilize a range of person-centered planning tools.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Education to a related degree level or equivalent (QCF5).
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) qualification.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and encourage staff through change management.
- Minimum of 18 months experience supporting individuals with complex needs, particularly relating to ASD, learning disabilities, and/or mental health.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) trainer qualification.
- Experience of undertaking incident debriefs and functional analysis of behaviours.
- Training experience and/or qualifications in training.
