Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner – Level 5

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at M&D Care. As a key member of our peripatetic team, you will provide consultation and support to services working with individuals with challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate interventions for individuals presenting with challenging behaviours.
- Develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support training to staff and individuals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to reduce the use of restrictive practices and promote person-centred approaches.
- Contribute to the development of outcome-based service delivery and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in person-centred review processes and utilise a range of person-centred planning tools.
- Education to a related degree level or equivalent (QCF5).
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) qualification.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and encourage staff through change management.
- Minimum of 18 months experience supporting individuals with complex needs, particularly relating to ASD, learning disabilities, and/or mental health.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) trainer qualification.
- Experience of undertaking incident debriefs and functional analysis of behaviours.
- Training experience and/or qualifications in training.
