Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered and Residential Surveyor to join our team at Innovus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing Building and Fire Safety projects across our residential portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project and Programme Management of Building and Fire Safety projects
  • Provide technical advice to the Asset Management Team and clients
  • Review proposals for remediation and advise on H&S, fire safety, building regulations, and resident impacts
  • Liaison with internal and external legal teams regarding remediation options
  • Implementation of mitigation measures based on report results
  • Monitoring and reporting on mitigation measures
  • Site inspections and monitoring of works to completion
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments, clients, and partners
  • Regular updates to clients, including formal fortnightly programme reporting
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Surveying or a similar discipline
  • At least 5 years' experience in managing programmes and projects in a high-profile client environment
  • In-depth understanding of H&S regulations and fire regulations within the residential built environment
  • Knowledge of building regulations, planning applications, and other property legislation
  • Review and interpretation of building specifications and defects
  • Experience of works tendering, including JCT contracts
Qualifications
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Qualification in Fire Safety and Risk Management, such as NEBOSH or Fire Protection Association
