This is a challenging opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.

The Role

As a Engineering Coordination Lead, you will have a role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills. You will be responsible for building a strong and compliant Health Safety & Environment culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. This will involve managing the Site Project Engineering Team and the Site Permitting Team to plan, review and lead resolution on engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead interface with MEH Engineering and the JDO when required
  • Conduct document, monthly and progress reviews
  • Attend CEMAR and Chair Lead meetings
  • Leading the implementation of SWITCH within the Construction Team
  • Conduct interviews for new team members and undertake PDRs for direct reports.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Proven track record in nuclear power (preferred)

Qualifications:

You will need to have:

  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
  • IOSH Managing Safely - Desirable
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering) - Desirable

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
