Workshop Service Engineer

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Workshop Service Engineer to join their team in Wilshire. As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for the service and repair of a wide variety of vehicles, including refuse vehicles, skip-loaders, tippers, trucks, and roll-on roll-off units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on HGVs to identify any faults or defects.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide assistance and support to other members of the workshop team as required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as an HGV mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of HGV manufacturers such as Isuzu, Mercedes, Iveco, Man, Renault, and DAF.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
